Are you ready for the BIG ONE? - EP. 0040

4 min 29 sec

San Francisco hasn't experienced a big earthquake in more than 20 years, but a disaster or any emergency situation can occur
at any moment. As designated disaster service workers, Public Works must be prepared to respond to an emergency regardless of where and when it happens. To always be prepared, we use special, pre-planned events, such as parades and large celebrations, as training exercises for everything from surveying damage and dispatching staff to ordering supplies and tracking costs. At the end of the day, our
No. 1 job is to keep the City working and safe.

Come along with us to learn more about the role Public Works plays in emergency situations.
